HERMITAGE, Pa.-- Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home, Sharon, for Ethel E. Bentley, 92, of 1091 Nantucket Drive, formerly of 34 Baker St. and Fairmont Avenue, who died Thursday in Sharon Regional Health System hospital.
Mrs. Bentley was born Feb. 24, 1909, in Castle Shannon, Pa., a daughter of James and Erna Schultz Madison. She had worked as a cashier for the Uptown Corner Grocery in Sharon from 1951 to 1961. She was a 46-year member of Hickory United Methodist Church and a member of United Commercial Travelers Auxiliary 395 in Sharon.
Her husband, Joseph R. Sr., whom she married Sept. 8, 1931, died Dec. 27, 1981.
She leaves a daughter, Joann Swartz of Hermitage; a stepson, Joseph R. Bentley Jr. of Palm Harbor, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, including Pamela Sopher of Hermitage, with whom she had made her home; and two great-grandchildren.
A stepdaughter, Jean Moffett; a grandson; and 10 brothers and sisters are deceased.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
