POLAND
April 17
Criminal damage/burglary: Someone forced their way through a window pane into a Center Road home and stole $200 and a rifle.
April 20
Theft: Someone stole a $388 income tax check from a New Castle Road home.
April 21
Drug abuse: Police arrested a 29-year-old Austintown man during a traffic stop on state Route 170 north of Western Reserve Road and charged him with possession of marijuana.
Criminal damage: Someone used an explosive device to blow up a mailbox at a Walker Mill Road home.
BOARDMAN
April 17
Theft: A $50 concrete figure was taken from the front porch of a Walnut Street home.
Theft: A watch, a set of dishes, a coffeemaker, a storage cabinet and a TV stand were stolen from a Forest Park Drive.
Drug charge: Police arrested a 20-year-old man in the 500 block of Boardman-Canfield Road and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug charges: Police arrested a 31-year-old Warren woman at Kohl's, 383 Boardman-Poland Road, for theft and possession of drug items, drug paraphernalia and drug abuse.
Criminal damage: Someone punctured a car's front tire in Southern Park Mall parking lot, 7401 Market St., causing $100 damage.
Criminal damage: Someone attempted to steal 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck by prying open the door handle, the door lock and window while the vehicle was parked at Sam's Club, 7469 South Ave.
Misuse of credit cards: Police arrested a 22-year-old New Middletown man at Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive, for attempting to purchase a home theater system, DVDs, video games and a DVD console with a stolen credit card.
April 18
Theft: Payroll checks totaling $2,000 from Wee Care Day Care, 721 Boardman-Poland Road, were forged and cashed.
Theft: Someone removed $1,948 from a bank account at several different locations with a stolen ATM card.
Theft/criminal damage: Someone stole a CD player totaling $150, 30 compact discs, and caused $250 in damages to the dashboard of a 1990 Chevrolet Cavalier parked in a lot on McClurg Road.
April 19
Theft: A cellular phone was stolen at BW-3s, 7401 Market St.
Auto theft: A 1996 Dodge Neon was stolen from Ruby Tuesday parking lot, 7401 Market St.
April 20
Arrest: Police arrested a 15-year-old Boardman girl for vandalism.
Theft: A chrome front bumper worth $1,500 was stolen from a 1999 Chevrolet van parked at the Spartan Chevrolet lot, 7870 Market St.
Criminal damage/theft: Someone stole a $200 CD/stereo from a 1994 Chevrolet Cavalier causing $200 in damages to the dashboard. It was parked near Ridge Field.
April 21
Theft/drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 41-year-old Boardman woman at Phar-Mor, 7121 Tiffany Blvd., for having drug paraphernalia and stealing $340 worth of merchandise.
Theft: Police arrested a 20-year-old Youngstown woman for taking a pair of shoes valued at $37 from Famous Footwear, 7401 Market St.
Criminal damage: Two men are suspected of causing $500 in damages to a 2001 Ford Ranger pickup truck by kicking the truck while it was parked in Toys "R" Us parking lot, 317 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A DVD player worth $189 was stolen from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Theft: Someone stole a snow blower worth $300 from a home's garage on Spring Paul Drive.
Criminal damage: Paint balls were shot at a 1997 Nissan vehicle in the parking lot of Barnes & amp; Noble Booksellers, 381 Boardman-Poland Road.
Theft: A two-drawer filing cabinet containing various documents was stolen from a Southern Boulevard home.
April 23
Arrest: Police arrested a 27-year-old Youngstown man at Market Street and Indianola Road and charged him with carrying a concealed weapon.
CANFIELD
April 18
Auto theft: A 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass was stolen from Star Extruded Shapes, 7055 Herbert Road.
