NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Mary Church of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, for Lorenzina Cherichetti, 66, of 1105 Delaware Ave., who died of complications from a stroke early Tuesday in Jameson Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cherichetti was born March 10, 1935, in Roccoromano, Italy, a daughter of Francesco and Maria Guiseppe DeMark Panella.
She was a member of the church, and for many years worked as a cook in New Castle area restaurants, retiring from Chuck Tanner's Restaurant.
Besides her husband, S. Paul Cherichetti, whom she married April 8, 1956, she leaves a son, Paul P. of New Castle; two brothers, Constantine and Michael Panella, and three sisters, Mary, Angelina and Elise, all in Italy; and five grandchildren.
Two brothers, Pasquale and Ferdinando Panella, and a sister, Giovannia, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Ed & amp; Don DeCarbo Northside Funeral Home.
