YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at Kubina-Yuhasz Funeral Home and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Dominic Catholic Church for Mary Ann Stredni-Slanina, 46, of 63 E. Avondale Ave., who died Wednesday morning at home, apparently of a heart attack.
Ms. Stredni-Slanina was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Youngstown, the daughter of John and Mary Ann Gorgul Stredni, and was a lifelong resident of the area.
She was a 1972 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and was employed as a dental assistant for 11 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the church.
She leaves her father, with whom she made her home; her mother, Mary Ann Stredni of Youngstown; and a sister, Susan Hileman of New Springfield.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the St. Casimir Altar and Rosary Society will have a service at 6:30 p.m.
