RICHARD H. DelPRINCIPE, 77

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ed & amp; Don DeCarbo Northside Funeral Home for Richard H. DelPrincipe, 77, of 224 N. Ray St., who died Sunday at his home.
Mr. DelPrincipe was born March 13, 1924, in New Castle, a son of Vincent and Julia Mazzocco DelPrincipe. He retired as a cement truck driver for Castle Builders Supply, and had driven truck for Mooney Bros. Supply.
He was a member of Eppworth United Methodist Church, Fraternal Order of Eagles, Teamsters Local 261 and VFW Post 315, and was a decorated Army veteran of World War II, having served with the 405th Infantry Division and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star with Oak Leaf Cluster.
His wife, the former Charlotte McDonald, whom he married Sept. 15, 1971, died Sept. 11, 1993.
He leaves three daughters, Cheryl Tempesta and Carol Palmer, both of New Castle, and Deborah Strauss of East Rochester, N.Y.; three sons, Richard M. DelPrincipe of Greenville, Pa., Raymond Welsh at home and Howard Welsh of Gautier, Miss.; three brothers, Thomas and Vincent, both of New Castle, and Joseph of Maple Heights, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Two brothers, William and Albert, and a sister, Nellie Passerello, are deceased.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Military rites will be conducted by the New Castle Area Honor Guard. Contributions may be made to the church.
