WARREN -- Services were Tuesday morning at Sibley-Murray Funeral Home, Warren, for Ranson James Tipton, 72, of 2875 Melgren Drive S.W., who died Friday morning in Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital after along illness.
Mr. Tipton was born March 17, 1929, in Manila, Ala., a son of Jessie J. and Louchers Parker Tipton.
He retired in 1994 after 43 years at R.M.I. Titanium in Niles, where he was a supervisor. He attended Warren City Schools, served in the Army as a training sergeant and was a Baptist.
He leaves his wife, the former Mable Hudson, whom he married July 11, 1953; six sons, Benjamin R., Kenneth G., Michael A. and Cordell J., all of Warren, Robert E. of Nashville and Lawrence E. of Akron; and 13 grandchildren.
A son, Richard L., is deceased.
