New curriculum director at Mohawk

BESSEMER, Pa. -- The Mohawk Area School Board named Kathleen Kwolek the school district's new curriculum director Monday, effective July 1.
Kwolek, who has been teaching at Mohawk for the past 25 years, will be paid $63,312 annually.
She earned her curriculum and instructional certificates at the University of Pittsburgh, where she is working on her principal's certificate in secondary education. The board also accepted the resignation of elementary instructional aide Marie Sfara, who will retire June 5, 2001. She has been with the district 25 years.
