Alexa Lewis and Chris Smaldino, both of Indianapolis, Ind., were united in marriage Jan. 12, during a ceremony at The Bertram Inn and Conference Center in Aurora, where a reception followed. Carol Sopkovich solemnized the ceremony.

The bride is a daughter of Catherine Stephenson of Austintown and the late William Lewis. Pam Smaldino Burns of Niles and the late Tim Smaldino are the groom’s parents.

The bride wore a long-sleeved, open back lace dress.

Taylar Corey performed the duties of maid of honor.

Bridesmaids, wearing light pink dresses, were Cami Lewis, sister of the bride; Nicole Smaldino, sister of the groom; Brittny Miller; Kristen Dota; and Sara Crum.

The groom’s cousin, Dominic Smaldino, was best man, and groomsmen were William Lewis, brother of the bride; Dj Moss; Johnny Williams; Nick Crum; and Ricky Segesto.

The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is a sales coordinator at Orchard Software in Indianapolis.

The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. He is a control-systems project engineer at Thermo Systems in Indianapolis.

The couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and live in Indianapolis.
