Stambaugh to have concerts in garden

Stambaugh Auditorium is launching a new summer concert series titled Bands at the Baugh.

The four-show series will run from June through September on the third Thursday of each month in the newly renovated formal garden on the south side of the auditorium.

The garden will be rededicated this morning in a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The series is presented by the Stambaugh Pillars. Proceeds will go toward the organization’s annual fundraising efforts. Media partners include The Vindicator, 21 WFMJ-TV and youngstownrock.com. Other considerations have been provided by City Printing and TR Party Rentals.

Here is the schedule:

June 20: Teddy Pantelas.

July 18: Steve Lewis.

Aug. 15: The Zou.

Sept. 19: Brooklyn 232.

Each 90-minute concert will start at 5:30 p.m. Admission for each performance is $9 (plus $1 service fee), which includes one drink from the cash bar.
