Gunshots tonight are for military exercise

VIENNA — Members of the 910th Security Forces Squadron and Department of Defense Security Officers will be conducting weapons qualification from 11:30 tonight until approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday.

Residents and passers-by in the vicinity of Youngstown Air Reserve Station should not be alarmed to hear weapons fire during overnight hours also between Monday night and Tuesday morning. The weapons fire is a scheduled event and is necessary to maintain the mission readiness of the security personnel assigned to the 910th Airlift Wing, according to a press releases from the reserve station's public information office.
