HMHP Foundation plans car show


The HMHP Foundation is planning the first Fuel the Fight: Drive Out Prostate Cancer mega car show and family event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 9. The event will be at Boardman High School, located at 7777 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman. In case the of rain, the event will be moved to June 30. Admission to the event is free.

Activities and attractions will include the world’s oldest Ford Mustang, live music by The Fringe, helicopter and ambulance tours, eating contests, food by O’Charley’s, a kid zone and a man cave.

A special feature of the event is a raffle for a free two-year lease on a brand new 2013 Ford Escape. 300 tickets will be sold at $100 per ticket. The winner must meet Ford eligibility requirements.

To show your car at the event, pre-registration will cost $15 per vehicle and show-day registration will be $20 per vehicle. Register online at www.fuelthefight.brownpapertickets.com. All proceeds from this event go to the Man Up Mahoning Valley Campaign to help provide prostate cancer awareness and screenings for the uninsured and underinsured in the Mahoning Valley. Registration fees are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
