Mr., Mrs. Kroll celebrate their 70th anniversary

CANFIELD

Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kroll of Canfield marked their 70th wedding anniversary April 20 with a family celebration at the home of their daughter and her husband, Eileen and Richard Haught, with whom they make their home.

The former Mary Louise Pieper married Mr. Kroll April 20, 1943, at Immaculate Conception Church in Youngstown.

Other children are Marjorie Donahue of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; Roy and Barbara Kroll of Ypsilanti, Mich.; and William and Kimberly Kroll of North Olmsted.

The couple have nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

They are members of St. Christine Church in Youngstown. Mrs. Kroll also is a member of Seton Circle. Mr. Kroll was a teacher and basketball coach for Youngstown City Schools before retiring in 1980. He is a member of Penguin Club, St. Christine Golf League and Curbstone Coaches, and he is a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran.
