Youngstown man claims hookers gave him drugs

Austintown police arrested Erick Jackson of Youngstown this morning after he claimed two hookers gave him a small bag of suspected cocaine found after police noticed Jackson pull it from a plastic canister.

Police initiated a search and later found two glass crack pipes in a cigarettes pack. Another pack of cigarettes was found on the passenger’s seat and contained another glass crack pipe. It was found to be owned by the passenger, Robert G. Brown, who was then taken into custody.

Police also discovered a marijuana cigarette under the driver’s seat. The vehicle was towed and both men were taken to Austintown Police Department. Jackson was charged with drug abuse cocaine and drug paraphernalia. Brown was charged with having drug paraphernalia. Jackson appeared in Mahoning County Court at 9 a.m. today. Brown is scheduled to appear in Mahoning County Court 4 on Monday.
