The Liberty American Cancer Society Relay for Life is 6 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday at Church Hill Park on state Route 193 just south of state Route 304.

Activities during the 24-hour Relay include the Luminaria Ceremony, which takes place after sundown and honors cancer survivors and remembers those lost to the disease. To register as a survivor, caregiver and/or team member or to purchase luminaria for a donation of $10, call 888-227-6446, ext. 2226, or visit www.relayforlife.org/Liberty.

The event has live entertainment including a Phantom Fireworks show at 10 p.m. Friday. The Fight Back Ceremony, in which a community leader will challenge participants to fight cancer with a personal pledge of action, such as to stop smoking, eat more healthily or exercise regularly.

Bicycle tour

CHAMPION

The deadline is Saturday for preregistration for the 9th Annual World of Wildlife Bicycle Tour, which will be June 8 on the Western Reserve Greenway in Trumbull and Ashtabula counties.

The ride begins and ends at the Kent State University at Trumbull Technology Building. Check-in time is 7:30 to 10 a.m. The ride features 20-, 40- or 68-mile routes.
