A detective is investigating three home-invasion burglaries Saturday afternoon and early Sunday, including one Saturday in which two masked men forced their way into a home and held a woman and her young children at gunpoint.

The woman reported that the men took two game systems and more than $1,000 in cash and pills from the residence in the 2100 block of Brier Street Southeast at 6:07 p.m.

The first of two burglaries early Sunday occurred at an apartment on Robert Avenue Northwest. The resident reported a known male got into her apartment at 12:15 a.m. and brandished a handgun but didn’t take anything.

At 1:51 a.m., a resident of the 300 block of Lancer Court Northwest reported that a known male got into her apartment and threatened to kill her but didn’t take anything.
