Dahlia Society will sponsor plant sale

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Valley Dahlia Society’s annual plant sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or until sold out Sunday at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

Local dahlia growers provide a large variety of dahlia plants in a choice of colors and sizes, including pompom and dinner-plate. Society members will assist in plant selections and answer questions regarding garden preparations for the dahlias.

The ready-to-plant dahlias provide gorgeous blooms and brilliant colors until the first frost.

A society business meeting will begin at 2 p.m. during the sale. Sheila Bowman will demonstrate the new arrangements to be used in the upcoming dahlia show.
