Patrick L. Weaver, 25, of Gordon Avenue, Campbell, was sentenced Tuesday to 12 years in prison for a series of incidents that began in Mineral Ridge on Aug. 4 and continued into Weathersfield Township and Warren.

Weaver was convicted at trial in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court in April of robbery, theft and failure to comply with the order of a police officer.

Police said Weaver assaulted a 55-year-old man in a coin-operated laundry on state Route 46 in Mineral Ridge and took the man’s keys and pickup truck at 1 a.m. Aug. 4. He then led Weathersfield and Warren police on a chase on Niles Road and South Street in Warren.

He gave himself up near Union Street Southwest in Warren.

The trial and sentencing took place in the courtroom of Judge Andrew Logan.

Weaver was sentenced to six years in prison in early 2007 in Mahoning County after pleading guilty to two burglaries.
