A man was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center on Monday afternoon after police said he was stabbed by his girlfriend.

The woman, Tamikiea Butler, 33, of West Avondale Avenue, also was taken to St. Elizabeth’s for psychiatric evaluation. She is charged with felonious assault. The victim told police he went to Butler’s home to retrieve personal items and to break up with her. She fought with him, got a knife from the kitchen and stabbed him. He ran out of the home to the Shell station on Market Street asking people there to call 911. While he was being treated by paramedics, Butler tried to stab him again, a police report said.

There was no report on his condition available late Monday.

Police investigate bullet-holes in SUV

Police are investigating a Sunday morning incident in which they found an SUV with five bullet holes in it parked in a driveway on East Ravenwood Avenue, after its driver said it had been shot up while eastbound in the 200 block of Hilton Avenue.

The 24-year-old driver told police she couldn’t see who was shooting because she ducked to avoid being hit by the gunfire, but she has two suspects in mind.

No injuries were reported in the 10:18 a.m. incident on the city’s South Side, which was recorded by the city’s Shot- Spotter electronic gunfire detection system, and confirmed by witnesses on Hilton Avenue.
