Election update| McNally winning mayoral primary; fracking amendment headed to defeat#vindyvote

YOUNGSTOWN — With most precincts reporting, The Vindicator is calling John A. McNally IV the winner of the Youngstown Democratic mayoral primary.

McNally has 2,873 votes, 58.9 percent, to 1,921 for Jamael Tito Brown or 39.4 percent.

The antifracking Charter amendment is projected to be defeated. The vote is 2,847, 56.5 percent, against the measure with 2,192, or 43.5 percent, for it.
