Niles 9, Poland 4

POLAND

Jake Foster pitched a complete game and a six-run fourth inning overcame a 2-0 deficit for the Red Dragons. Ryan Ifft had three hits and two RBIs while Ian Hileman added two hits and two RBIs. Ricky Svetlak also had two hits and two RBIs for Poland.

Marlington 3, Cardinal Mooney 1

STRUTHERS

Cardinal Mooney (12-6) managed nine hits but could only push across one run. Jon Saadey and Kane Durkin held the Dukes (9-14) to seven hits but a two-run fourth inning was key.

Campbell 6, East Palestine 5

EAST PALESTINE

After three lead changes in the first five innings, Campbell (4-12) plated the winning run in the top of the sixth. DJ Rodriguez pitched well in relief to earn the win. Stephan Elash tripled and singled to lead the Red Devils’ attack. Sam Yarosz had two hits and three RBI for East Palestine (8-10).

Hubbard 15, Youngstown Christian 0

STRUTHERS

Brett Lopuchovsky’s three hits included a two-run triple. Chris Colella hit a solo homer while Justin Godin tripled and Zach Hover doubled. For Youngstown Christian (3-5), Cole Pollak and Kayne Brown singled.

Crestview 12, Columbiana 1

COLUMBIANA

Austin Eskra tossed a five-inning one-hitter, striking out seven and walking two for the Rebels (13-7, 6-5 Inter Tri-County League Tier One). Zach Thompson hit a two-run homer, Jake Ferris hit a two-run triple and Derek Bable hit a two-run double. Evan Nentwick had two hits and two RBIs, Eskara had two hits and Spencer DeSalvo’s two hits included a double.

Grand Valley 4, Mathews 2

ORWELL

Mathews (13-3, 10-1 Northeastern Athletic Conference) took an early 2-0 lead but Grand Valley (11-6, 9-3) rallied with two in the fourth and two in the sixth. Grand Valley pitcher Nate Wengerd struck out nine. Jeremy Forsythe had two hits for Mathews.

Bristol 17, Lordstown 0

BRISTOLVILLE

Johnny Simcox homered for one of his four hits and drove in four runs to lead Bristol (5-7, 5-6 NAC). Chad Oliver added a double, two singles and three RBIs, and Aaron Williams also drove in three runs and recorded three hits. Aaron Wiebe allowed just two hits and two walks.
