Arrangements for slain Shenango Township Officer Jerry McCarthy

NEW CASTLE, Pa.

Funeral arrangements have been made for Shenango Township Officer William “Jerry” McCarthy.

Viewing is from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday at St. Vitus Church on South Mercer Street. A funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a procession and burial at Crestview Cemetery in Grove City.

The 60-year old officer was killed Thursday night when the cruiser he was riding in was hit by 26-year old Kylee Barletto, who police say was fleeing from them.
