Benefit golf outing set

The Brett Wilcox benefit golf outing will be July 21 at Lakeside Golf Course. Shot gun start will begin at 9 a.m. The cost is $65 per golfer or $250 for a foursome. Cost includes coffee and doughnuts at registration, lunch, dinner and drinks. Sponsorships are available for $100 for a hole sponsor or $350 for a gold sponsor. First place will receive $400 and second place $200. In addition, there will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and a 50-inch TV raffle. Annual golf outing set

The Poland All Sports Boosters annual golf scramble will be May 18 at Knoll Run Golf Course. The cost is $75 per golfer for a foursome. The cost includes dinner, hot dog lunch, beverages and skill prizes. For anyone wanting to eat dinner, but not golf, the cost is $25. Shotgun start is at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for first ($300), second ($200) and third places ($100).

Sharon Speedway races are Saturday

Today, there will be another installment of “Steel Valley Thunder” at Sharon Speedway.

The track will have a six-division program of Governor Insurance Agency DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Barris Supply RUSH Late Models, Summit Racing Equipment Modifieds, Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, HTMA/Precise Racing Products Econo Mods and the Deforest Used Parts Mini Stocks. Racing begins at 7 p.m. Sharon Speedway is a 3/8-mile dirt track located on Custer-Orangeville Road near the intersection of state Routes 7 and 305.
