Blues singer-songwriter in concert at library

Blues singer-songwriter Kristine Jackson of Cleveland will perform at 6:30 p.m. May 9 at Warren-Trumbull County Public Library, 444 Mahoning Ave. NW. The concert — in conjunction with the “America’s Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music From Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway” series at the library — is free, and reservations are not required.

Jackson and her KJBlues band were finalists at the 2010 International Blues Competition, and were named Best Blues Band by Cleveland Scene Magazine that year.

Her albums include “Candy Store” and a new full-length acoustic album titled “Vol. 1.”
