Attorney Andrew M. Henderson, testifying in his own defense in a disbarment hearing, admits having paid off notes totaling $6,000 for Judge J.H.C. Lyon, but denies vigorously that he had any motive other than friendship for Judge Lyon, his former law partner. Henderson says he paid off $5,000 in notes for other friends.
