Kriner 50th celebrated at family dinner



XBROOKSVILLE, Fla. -- The 50th anniversary of their wedding was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Kriner, 3023 Longford Lane, during a family dinner party held July 29 at Donavito's Italian Grille in Struthers.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Melodie and Nat Marando of Hubbard, Pamela and Martin Ingles of Massillon, Cathy and John Wilson of Hayes, Va., and Tricia and Mark Kolat of Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri.
The Kriners also have 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A daughter Nancy Kriner is deceased.
The former Caroline Patricia Pope and Mr. Kriner were united in marriage Sept. 8, 1956, at Mahoning United Presbyterian Church in Youngstown.
Mrs. Kriner was an operator with Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in Youngstown. She is a member of Clover Leaf Woman's Club.
Mr. Kriner served with the U.S. Navy from 1954 to 1957 and was a teleman on the USS Witek based in New London, Conn. He retired in 1992 from East Ohio Gas Co. in Youngstown, where he was a customer serviceman. He is a member of Clover Leaf Amateur Radio Club.
