Cobb powers LaBrae to victory

LEAVITTSBURG -- Chris Cobb rushed for 220 yards on 12 carries Friday to lead LaBrae High to a 31-18 victory over East Palestine.
One of Cobb's touchdowns was an 82-yard run. Eric Hart gained 108 yards on 23 carries including touchdown runs of 8 and 6 yards.
Mike Ryan completed five of 10 passes for 85 yards. Jeff Morgan caught two of them for 85 yards, including a 48-yard touchdown.

CHAMPION -- After Champion got within 7-6 in the second quarter, Garfield cruised to its first victory of the season.
John Todes of Garfield (1-1) rushed for 122 yards on 12 carries, which included TD runs of 2, 25 and 17 yards.
Kris Wildman rushed eight times for 119 yards and scored on a 66-yard run for the Golden Flashes (1-1).

RAVENNA -- Gary Allen scored on runs of 3, 23 and 2 yards for the Pirates (1-1). Alex Blake threw a 60-yard TD strike to Ben Kobus and he scored on a 3-yard run.
Ryan Connell completed a 60-yard touchdown pass to Jason Rodman and he scored on a 4-yard run.
