Mother reports son's stabbing by another boy

WARREN -- Police are investigating the stabbing of an 8-year-old Aris Drive Northwest boy by another boy.
About 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, the victim's mother called police to report that her son had been playing football with an inidentified boy earlier who punched and bit him. The woman said her boy was not injured in that episode.
A few minutes after telling her son to stay at home, the woman said the boy ran into the house bleeding from the hand -- saying the other boy had come to the residence and stabbed him. Police secured as evidence a kitchen knife they found in a nearby yard. Police officials could not be reached to say whether the boy sought medical treatment.
