Bethany 94, Westminster 86
BETHANY, W. Va. -- Matt Drahos scored 32 points as Bethany held off Westminster's upset bid in a Presidents' Athletic Conference game. The Bison (16-4, 7-0) were tied at 64 with 8:26 remaining, but a 10-2 run put them in control, 82-73, at the 3:35 mark. Bethany went 6-for-6 at the foul line in the final 1:02. Drahos also set a school record with 26 rebounds. Mike Drahos added 24 points for Bethany. Westminster (5-14, 2-5) was led by Craig Hannon (Union) and Mark DeMonaco (New Castle) with 24 points each. Greg Rosatelli added 17 points.
Thomas More 73, Thiel 66
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Stephen Laird scored 13 points, while Andre Jones added 10 points and a team-high nine rebounds for Thiel. James Beedle (McDonald) scored 12 points and Damien Williams added 11 for the Tomcats (2-17, 0-7 PAC). R.K. Thurman led Thomas More (2-18, 2-5) with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and E.J. Haynes added 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Allegheny 80, Kenyon 72
GAMBIER -- Matt Majzlik scored 16 points and Allegheny used a huge differential at the free throw line to beat Kenyon. The Gators (8-10, 4-6 North Coast Athletic Conference) hit 29-of-42 free throws while the Lords (5-14, 2-8) were 13-of-18. Bill Babe and Ben Torsney each scored 15 points for the Gators -- Torsney hitting all seven of his foul shots -- with Casey McCloskey adding 13 points and Jimmy Savage 11. Matt Formato scored 23 points and Allen Bediako flirted with a triple-double for Kenyon. Bediako had 10 points, 18 rebounds and blocked eight shots. Arlen Galloway had 11 points and Josh Klinger 10 for the Lords, who shot 29 percent from the field in the opening half to fall behind 42-26 before shooting 56 percent in the second half to get back in the game.
Ohio Wesleyan 121, Hiram 70
DELAWARE -- Ohio Wesleyan shot 53 percent from the floor and committed just six turnovers in a NCAC game. Kyle Holliday led the Bishops (11-7, 6-3) with 20 points, while Andy Warnock scored 18. Ohio Wesleyan was 39-for-74 from the floor. Hiram (3-15, 1-8) was led by Brandon Pool with 16 points and Emeka Mbanefo with 11. The Terriers shot just 31 percent (24-of-78) and were 7-for-35 on 3-pointers.
Wilmington 72, Mount Union 65
WILMINGTON -- Josh Rohrbacher scored 19 points and helped Wilmington to a fast start with a 3-pointer. The Quakers (14-5, 7-5 Ohio Athletic Conference) scored the game's first nine points. Zach Broermann added a 3 and a free throw and Brett Carpenter hit a layup in the surge. Wilmington shot 57 percent on field goals in the opening half to lead by as many as 17 points. Kyle Karpinski had 17 points and Chris Switzer 10 for the Purple Raiders (5-14, 4-8). Switzer's 3-pointer with 4:18 left cut the lead to 65-58 but Mount Union never got closer than five points.
WOMEN
Wilmington 79, Mount Union 73, 2 OT
ALLIANCE -- Wilmington outscored Mount Union 13-7 in the second overtime in an OAC game. Kyla Hogan paced the Purple Raiders (11-8, 6-6) with 22 points, 18 rebounds and five assists. Lauren Friedrich added 19 points and Alicia Williams scored 17. Wilmington (14-5, 9-3) was led by Kelly Peters who scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Bethany 78, Westminster 73
BETHANY, W. Va. -- Courtney Irwin paced five Bethany players in double figures with 16 points, and the Bison made 7-of-8 foul shots over the final three minutes to hold off Westminster. Ashley Zemba added 13 points for the Bison (7-13, 3-4 PAC), while Jenny Place (Badger) had 11 points and seven rebounds. Lisa Mitchell and Renee Brandenburg had 11 and 10 points, respectively. For Westminster (4-16, 1-6), Desiree Sterling (Newton Falls) had 13 points and eight rebounds. Emilee Ackerman and Nicole Fee added 12 points apiece, while Rachel Eaton and Gina Brunetti (Mooney) scored 10 each. Eaton also had eight rebounds.
Thomas More 68, Thiel 44
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Amber Bodrick (Mooney) had 16 points and seven rebounds for Thiel (6-14, 4-3 PAC). Nicole Valentino (Sharon) added 11 points, while Fontella Jones (Farrell) finished with eight points and seven rebounds. For Thomas More (16-6, 6-1), Megan Wood led with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Allegheny 65 Wesleyan 63
MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Caitlin Murtaugh scored 17 points and Courtney Steding added 10 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Gators (12-7, 8-2 NCAC). Meghan Vasilisin had 16 points and seven rebounds for Allegheny. Emily Lloyd scored 14 points for Ohio Wesleyan (10-9, 6-4).
Daemen 68, Geneva 57
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. -- Jen Rawding scored 18 points and Allyson Clarke had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Geneva, which fell short in its bid to tie for first place in the American Mideast Conference North. Megan Gallagher added 11 points for the Golden Tornadoes (11-7, 8-3). Daemen (14-8, 9-1) was led by Allison Depp, who scored 26 points, and Sarah Bogardus, who had 17 points and 10 rebounds. Daemen shot 54 percent (31-of-57) from the floor.
