ASSOCIATIONS
XYoungstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet at 10 a.m. Feb. 4 in the gathering room at Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave. A talk on "Visiting Russia" will be given by Dr. Melissa Smith, Youngstown State University professor. CLUBS
XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church for a noon luncheon and meeting. The program will be "It's a Grand Ole Flag," and speaker will be Betty Whitman. Hostesses will be Pat Chester and Virginia Gaskeen.
XA meeting of the Chatterbox Club will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Lockwood House in Boardman. Lunch will follow at 11:30.
XHBA Women's Council's February membership event will be a silent auction for charity on Feb. 28 at Mr. Anthony's, 7440 South Ave. The networking and silent auction will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a buffet dinner at 6:35 featuring Swiss chicken. The program and presentation of Awards of Excellence will be held at 7:30. The cost is $25, and reservations can be faxed to (330) 965-9770 by Feb. 24. XPoland Center Homemakers will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Poland United Methodist Church for a casserole luncheon. Members should take old cards, glue and scissors to make valentines for veterans. Hostesses will be Ellie Rigelsky, Rose Scarfo and Alexandra Simon.
XWarren Women's Connection will hold a "Full Speed Ahead" guest day luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Feb. 13 at Aulizio's Banquet Center, 4395 Youngstown Road. Male and female guests are welcome. Dale Blaney, professional stock-car driver, will share his racing experiences, and William Rotar will speak on his "Victory Through Adversity." The cost is $10.
