HUBBARD
Jan. 12
Theft: A man discovered items missing from his residence in the 10 block of West Liberty Street.
Theft: A motorist left a Shell station, 204 W. Liberty St., without paying for gasoline.
Theft: A woman reported the theft of packages from her porch in the 400 block of Jones Street.
Criminal damage: A man noticed damage to his home in the 300 block of Stewart Avenue.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 100 block of Drummond Avenue discovered her car's rear window smashed.
Damage: A Westview Avenue woman told officers a truck had left large ruts in her yard.
Jan. 14
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue told police her former boyfriend damaged a door to her home.
Jan. 15
Arrest: During a traffic stop at Sky Bank, 24 W. Liberty St., officers arrested a Hubbard man wanted on a warrant from Belmont County, Ohio. The charge was failure to appear on a count of operating a vehicle under the influence.
Jan. 16
Damage: A man in the 300 block of Princeton Avenue said someone threw an object at his vehicle, breaking a rearview mirror.
LIBERTY
Jan. 11
Theft: A worker at Campus Health Care, 196 Colonial Drive, discovered a $600 laptop computer was removed from a room.
Arrest: Austintown police turned a 38-year-old Youngstown man over to Liberty authorities at the Petro Store, 1 Petro Place. He was wanted on a felony warrant charging him with theft.
Stolen property: After stopping a vehicle in the 3000 block of Hadley Avenue and determining its rear license plate had been stolen, police arrested a Youngstown man, 27, on charges of receiving stolen property (license plate), a felony, driving under suspension and having a fictitious license plate.
Theft: A man in the 1100 block of Church Hill Road noticed the validation sticker had been removed from his vehicle's rear license plate.
Jan. 12
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: A Belmar Drive woman said her son took her 1987 Cadillac DeVille two weeks ago and failed to bring it back.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Euclid Avenue discovered $120 was removed from her account at Bank One, 3999 Belmont Ave., without permission. She also found out $80 had been withdrawn at a Girard business.
Jan. 13
Arrest: After responding to a report of a man trying to cash a stolen check at First National Bank, 3718 Belmont Ave., officers arrested an Akron man, 24, on charges of receiving stolen property (check), passing bad checks, falsification and identity fraud. Authorities say the man had two counterfeit Pennsylvania driver's licenses.
Theft: A man in the 1700 block of Liberty Avenue reported a $200 car stereo/compact-disc player stolen from his vehicle.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into a home under construction in the 1000 block of Chrysann Drive, likely through a side basement window. Taken were a nail gun, a grinder and a circular saw, for a loss of $580.
Jan. 14
Criminal damaging: A man in the 300 block of Goldie Road discovered his vehicle's passenger-side window and a taillight damaged, as well as a dent and several scratches. Damage was estimated at $400.
Vandalism: A woman in the 400 block of Ravine Drive discovered a rear window as well as a trunk lid and quarter panel damaged on her father's limousine. Estimated damage was $2,000.
Robbery: A Youngstown woman called police after a man, 25 to 35 years old, grabbed her purse while she was walking in the 500 block of Gypsy Lane. The woman had various prescriptions and medications in her purse.
Jan. 15
Domestic violence: After responding to a hang-up 911 call from a Goldie Road residence, police arrived and found a woman with bruises and swelling near her right eye. Officers arrested a 23-year-old man after they say he confessed striking her.
Jan. 16
Assault: A Trumbull Court woman told police that two women, one in her 40s, assaulted the victim at her home. The woman had hair pulled out and some fingernails broken.
Criminal damaging: While responding to a domestic situation at the Knights Inn, 1600 Motor Inn Drive, officers took a Youngstown woman, 31, into custody. She was wanted on a warrant charging her with criminal damaging.
Jan. 17
Breaking and entering: Police discovered a broken window at Smith Barney, 5048 Belmont Ave., after someone broke in and stole a $200 lamp.
GIRARD
Jan. 15
Criminal mischief: A Girard woman discovered someone had thrown a rock and damaged her vehicle's hood and windshield while the car was in the 100 block of South Lorain Avenue.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 22-year-old Girard man on a domestic-violence charge after his girlfriend claimed he struck her in the head and stomach, pushed her down a flight of stairs and threw a chair and a stereo at her during an argument. The pregnant woman was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center for injuries to her face, shoulder, neck and leg.
Criminal damaging: A man in the 100 block of Crumlin Avenue discovered his car's passenger-side mirror broken while the vehicle was in the 500 block of East Prospect Street.
Criminal damaging: A woman in the 100 block of Ward Avenue saw that someone used a key to damage her vehicle's finish.
Jan. 17
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing after someone had been inside a boarded-up building in the 400 block of Dearborn Avenue.
