AUSTINTOWN
Township trustee Lisa Oles is chairwoman of the board of trustees, and Warren Bo Pritchard is vice chairman. Trustees had their reorganization Monday.
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Village council made these 2006 committee appointments:

COITSVILLE
Township trustees elected Trustee Phyllis Johnson as chairwoman and Trustee Gerald Backo as vice chairman. They will have their regular meetings at the administration building on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m.; recess in the months of July and August; and have work sessions at 6 p.m. at the administration building on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
Trustees reappointed Walter Malutic to the zoning board and Bill Butch to the zoning board of appeals for a five-year term.
CANFIELD
Martha Zarlenga is the 2006 president of the Canfield Board of Education. David Moore is vice president.
YOUNGSTOWN
The Rev. Michael Write will lead the Youngstown Board of Education for the next year. Board members unanimously elected Write, associate pastor of New Bethel Baptist Church, as board president. In addition to his work as a pastor, the Rev. Mr. Write works with Needles Eye Christian Counseling Services. He is beginning his third year on the school board. The board also unanimously elected Lock P. Beachum Sr. as the panel's vice president.
LOWELLVILLE
Roy Palumbo Jr. was elected president of the Lowellville Board of Education. The vice president is John A. Wilaj. Other board members are John Olson, Joseph R. Ballone, and Lori Carlson, who is a new member of the board.

WEATHERSFIELD
The township zoning commission elected Richard Harkins as chairman, replacing Fred McCandless. Mary Sohayda was elected vice chairman and Mary Ann Davis was named secretary.
HOWLAND
Township trustees elected trustee Rick Clark as board chairman and Sally Wehmer as vice chairwoman. They appointed Francis Fortsch to a second five-year term on the township zoning commission and Amelia Tsilimos to her first five-year term. They set the second and fourth Wednesday of the month for their regular meetings. The time of the first meeting of the month was changed from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m., while the second meeting will remain at 3 p.m.
