INTER-COUNTY LEAGUE Keirsey leads Mineral Ridge to 11th



The Rams rolled past Sebring to continue on the undefeated trail.
SEBRING -- Mineral Ridge's Vance Keirsey had 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead the senior-dominated and unbeaten Rams, who toppled Sebring 71-43 in an Inter-County League game on Friday.
Nick Diana had 18 points and four steals for Ridge (11-0, 5-0), which last started 11-0 when the Rams were 20-0 in 1987-88.
Micah Hall added six points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Jon Springer's 14 points and seven rebounds paced Sebring, a team that lost 93 percent of its offense and 96 percent of its rebounding to graduation.
Also for the Trojans (4-5, 1-4), Zach Tieche had 10 points while Jesse James had three assists and three steals.
Springfield 65, McDonald 62
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- McDonald rallied with a 18-6 surge to tie the score at 57-57 in the fourth quarter before falling in overtime.
Springfield, which led 51-39 after three periods, outscored McDonald 8-5 in the extra period.
Zack DeJane paced the Tigers with 18 points and nine rebounds. Dave McClearn added 17 points and six assists. Mike Kampfer finished with 13 points and Dane Dobson had 11 points and seven assists.
Andy Timko sparked the Blue Devils with 28 points. Bradley Hinton chipped in with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Corey Vukovic added 11 points.
Lowellville 75, South Range 55
NORTH LIMA -- The Rockets (5-4) jumped out to a 20-8 lead in the first quarter, but the Raiders bounced back to trail 33-30 at halftime.
Lowellville put the game away in the third period, outscoring Range 23-6.
Rocky Nolfi paced the Rockets with 17 points. Mario Nero chipped in with 16. Ed Balone had 15 and John Wilaj 14.
David Maxwell took scoring honors for the Raiders (2-5, 1-4) with 21 points.
Western Reserve 71, Jackson-Milton 43
NORTH JACKSON -- Western Reserve put nine players in the scoring column, four of them in double figures.
Jerod Barker sparked the Blue Devils with 17 points. Jeff Zatchok added 14, John Porterfield 12 and Chris Tofilski 10.
Josh Barringer led the Bluejays with 12 points and Nick MacLarren finished with nine.
