hPublicist: Breast cancerhasn't recurred in singer
LONDON -- Kylie Minogue is still being treated for breast cancer, but the disease has not recurred since surgery last year, the Australian pop star's publicist said in a statement Friday. Minogue underwent successful surgery in May to remove the cancer. Since that operation, the results have been positive. "Fortunately, we are still able to say we have received no news of a reoccurrence of the cancer," the statement read. "However, at this point in time, Kylie's treatments are continuing." "Kylie remains keen to return to work and in particular to reschedule the Showgirl Tour of Australia," it added, referring to the 2005 tour that was postponed soon after Minogue was diagnosed with breast cancer. Minogue underwent chemotherapy in Paris following her surgery in Melbourne, Australia, and is reportedly back in Australia. The 37-year-old singer is known for hits such as "Loco-Motion" and "Can't Get You Out of My Head." She is nominated for a Grammy for dance recording for her song "Guilt Is a Useless Emotion."
Jolie, Pitt visit Haiti;Aniston didn't get a call
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti -- Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt brought a rare dose of Hollywood glamour to this beleaguered Caribbean nation during a visit Friday. Jolie and Pitt flew to Haiti from the neighboring Dominican Republic, where she is filming the movie "The Good Shepherd," directed by Robert De Niro. The couple, who recently announced that they are expecting a baby this summer, were to get a firsthand look at projects run by Yele Haiti, the charity of Haitian-born hip-hop musician Wyclef Jean. They were expected to distribute food and toys to boys at a juvenile prison and to visit a school where Yele Haiti gives children the opportunity to play sports. Pitt, 42, and Jolie, 30, also intended to meet with workers from Yele Haiti's Project Clean Streets, which helps clear litter from the capital of Port-au-Prince. Jolie, a goodwill ambassador for the U.N., has helped raise money in the past for the charity, which distributes scholarships and food in the Western Hemisphere's poorest country. In other Pitt news, entertainment TV show "Extra" reported that Pitt did not call Jennifer Aniston to tell her about girlfriend Angelina Jolie's pregnancy announcement. Aniston's publicist, Stephen Huvane, cleared up reports that Pitt and former wife Aniston spoke before the announcement Wednesday. "All the reports about phone calls between Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie are all made-up lies," Huvane told "Extra" on Thursday.

Preston, 59, is best known for his work with The Beatles, playing the organ on their song "Get Back." He also toured with the Rolling Stones and was a regular member of Eric Clapton's band. His hits include "Nothing From Nothing Leaves Nothing," "Will It Go Round in Circles?" and "You Are So Beautiful To Me." He has suffered from chronic kidney failure brought on by uncontrolled high blood pressure since 2001, Moore said. He had a kidney transplant in 2002, but the kidney failed and he has been on dialysis treatments three times a week ever since. Moore said that while Preston isn't "brain dead" as some reports suggested, he remains seriously ill and is not up and walking around. He cannot speak because he has a tracheotomy.
