Family council elects new officers

BOARDMAN -- Mahoning County Health Commissioner Matthew Stefanak has been elected chairman of the Mahoning County Family and Children First Council.
Ron Marian, executive director of the Mahoning County Mental Health Board, was named vice-chairman, with Dave Schaffer, executive director of the Mahoning County Alcohol & amp; Drug Addiction Services Board, as secretary, and Richard Denamen, superintendent of the Mahoning County Educational Service Center, as treasurer.
Membership in MCFCFC is open to people or organizations in Mahoning County whose personal interest, public responsibilities or organizational mission is to work with families to ensure the effective collaboration and coordination of county programs.
The executive council meets at 1:30 p.m. on the third Friday of each month at the Mahoning County Educational Service Center office, 100 DeBartolo Place. Advisory council meetings are conducted quarterly on the third Thursday of March, June, September and December at rotating sites throughout the county.
