Crestview, East Palestine remain at top with wins



NEW WATERFORD -- Crestview jumped out to a 20-7 led in the first quarter and held on to post a 52-49 victory over Wellsville Friday in a Tri-County League game at the Rebels' gym.
Tony Amabile paced the Rebels (7-3, 4-1) with 18 points. Jerry Einseidel and Andy Walton each had nine.
Josh Lyle scored 14 points for the Tigers (8-2). Zane Carter chipped in with 13 and Zach Welch finished with 10.
East Palestine 49, Lisbon 47
LISBON -- Travis Foreman had 15 points and seven rebounds while Jake Harvey netted nine for the Bulldogs (6-2, 4-1).
Marcus Judy led Lisbon with 21 points and five assists. Tim McClester scored 11 points and had 12 rebounds for the Blue Devils (4-6, 3-2). Steve Tsilimos pulled down nine rebounds.
Southern 69, United 44
HANOVERTON -- The Indians took a commanding 33-15 lead at halftime, then cruised to the victory.
Dan DeSellum paced the Indians' balanced attack with 17 points. Anthony Castro added 12 as nine players got into the scoring column for Southern.
Jordan Dickey paced the Golden Eagles (2-7, 1-4) with 14 points.
Columbiana 54, Leetonia 49
LEETONIA -- Deric Graft, Joey Winters and Morgan Hart scored 17, 12 and 11 points respectively for the Clippers (3-7, 1-4).
Jon Williams hit for 17 and added six steals and Corey Creamer handled eight rebounds for the Bears (6-5, 2-3).
The Clippers led 32-30 after three quarters.
