Rayen girls team posts 41-32 win over Mooney; Taylor scores 16



YOUNGSTOWN -- Brittney Taylor scored 16 points and made six rebounds, three steals and an assist Thursday to lead the Rayen School's girls basketball team to a 41-32 victory over Mooney.
Also for the Tigers (8-3), Tieara Jones had 10 points, eight rebounds, five steals, six assists and two blocked shots. Cheryl Green had seven rebounds.
Danya Daltorio sparked the Cardinals (4-5) with 22 points and five rebounds. Alex Woytek also had five rebounds.

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Irish (7-3, 2-0 Steel Valley Conference) were in command 66-17 at the end of the third quarter.
Tyra Grant sparked the Irish with 27 points and Vanessa Dickson added 21. Danielle Crafter grabbed six rebounds.
Kiara Jenkins led the Raiders (1-9, 0-2) with 10 points. Belinda Hernon pulled down three rebounds.
The Irish had a 30-13 rebounding advantage.

VIENNA -- A tough defense kept the Mustangs (8-3, 5-0) unbeaten in the Northeast Athletic Conference standings.
Lauren Roscoe led Mathews' balanced attack with 12 points. Brianna Blodgett led the Red Devils (1-8, 1-4) with 10 points.
