DURHAM, N.C. -- One by one, Mike Krzyzewski sent the Duke players and coaches to the midcourt logo at Cameron Indoor Stadium and asked each to sign his name. It was the final practice before facing No. 23 Maryland, and the Hall of Fame coach wanted to show the importance of protecting their home court.
They got the message.
Shelden Williams got his first career triple-double and J.J. Redick scored 27 points, helping the top-ranked Blue Devils (15-0, 3-0) snap a three-game losing streak to No. 23 Maryland (11-4, 1-2) with a dominating 76-52 victory Wednesday night.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Taurean Green scored 20 points, including two 3-pointers with the shot clock winding down in the closing minutes, and Florida remained unbeaten with a sloppy victory.
The Gators (15-0, 2-0 Southeastern Conference) broke the school record for consecutive wins and extended the best start in school history. They surpassed the previous mark of 14 straight wins set in 2001-02 and tied the following season.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- Kyle Lowry scored a career-high 28 points and Randy Foye added 24 as Villanova rebounded from its first loss of the season.
No. 5 Memphis 77, East Carolina 67
GREENVILLE, N.C. -- Rodney Carney hit six 3-pointers and scored 27 points to lead Memphis past East Carolina 77-67 in the Conference USA opener for both teams.
Shawne Williams added 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Tigers (14-2), who have won all four meetings in the series.
Corey Rouse had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Pirates (6-8).

EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Maurice Ager scored 28 points and Paul Davis had 23 points and 10 rebounds to lead Michigan State (13-4, 1-2) to its first Big Ten win.
Marco Killingsworth had 27 points and Robert Vaden added 20 for the Hoosiers (10-3, 2-1), who had won six straight and reached their highest ranking since Dec. 16, 2002.
No. 16 West Virginia 68, Georgetown 61
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Kevin Pittsnogle scored 23 points and West Virginia beat Georgetown for the school's best start in the Big East.
The Mountaineers (11-3, 3-0) trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half against the Hoyas. It was the ninth straight win for West Virginia, which is off to its best in its 11 years in the Big East.
Georgetown (10-3, 2-1) had a seven-game winning streak snapped.
No. 17 George Washington 69, Saint Louis 64, OT
WASHINGTON -- Danilo Pinnock had 19 points, seven in overtime, and 12 rebounds and George Washington survived a game of wild swings.
Omar Williams and Carl Elliot each scored 10 points for the Colonials (11-1, 2-0 Atlantic 10). Brown scored a career-high 23 points for the Billikens (7-7, 1-1), who have alternated wins with losses every game the entire season.
