Locked out, then bottom falls out

NILES -- An 89-year-old city man was caught with his pants down after he locked himself out of his home.
When police arrived at his home Tuesday morning, they covered him with a blanket after finding him naked from the waist down, sitting on the ground with his legs sticking in a basement window.
According to the police log, the man told police he was walking outside his home and locked himself out. He broke the basement window to climb back inside.
He stuck his legs through the opening and then realized he couldn't bend enough to get in, and the drop to the basement floor was too far.
As he tried to work his way out of the window, his pants and underwear fell to the basement floor, and he found himself stuck in the window.
Nude from the waist down, the man sat and patiently waited for help. Police received a call that a naked man was trying to get out of a window.
Help arrives
Firefighters arrived, went into the house through the broken window and opened the front door. He was taken inside to warm up.
At the same time, his daughter showed up to check on him. She took her father for a medical checkup because he was so cold that his blood pressure had significantly dropped.
