YOUNGSTOWN -- For the second time this season, YSU junior guard Quin Humphrey has been named the Horizon League's Player of the Week.
Humphrey, who scored a career-high 33 points last week at UIC, maintained his high level of play in three games for this week's selection period, averaging 27 points and seven rebounds per contest.
He helped led the Penguins to their first Horizon League road win since January 2004 on Monday, when YSU beat Loyola, 84-76. In Monday's win against the Ramblers, he scored 32 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.
On Thursday, he scored 31 points in just 34 minutes as the Penguins beat UW-Green Bay 95-70. The victory over the Phoenix was YSU's biggest margin of victory since joining the Horizon League in 2001-02 and largest in a conference game since January 1988. On Saturday, he scored 18 points, including the team's final eight to almost pull out the win over Detroit.
In helping YSU post a 2-1 week, he was 30-of-44 from the field (68.2 percent), 10-of-14 (71.4 percent) from 3-point range and 11-of-13 (84.6 percent) from the free-throw line.

PITTSBURGH -- Forward Konstantin Koltsov, sent to the minors shortly after the Pittsburgh Penguins changed coaches in November, was recalled Monday from their Wilkes-Barre (AHL) farm club.
Koltsov had seven goals and five assists in 18 games with Wilkes-Barre following a demotion that resulted from him going without a goal in 20 games with Pittsburgh.
To make room for Koltsov, the Penguins reassigned center Erik Christensen to Wilkes-Barre. Christensen had six goals and six assists in 29 games, but only one goal in his last 11 games.
