Pickup truck driver dies of crash injuries

WHEATLAND, Pa. -- A Shenango Township man was killed in a one-car crash on Broadway Avenue.
Gary L. Turczynski, 49, of West Middlesex Road, died of internal injuries suffered from the crash at 1 a.m. Sunday, said Mercer County Coroner Brad McGonigle.
Southwest Mercer County Regional Police said Turczynski was northbound when he lost control of his truck. Witnesses said the pickup truck hit a tree head-on and the truck sheared in half, leaving the passenger door and truck cap at the tree. The remainder of the truck traveled another 20 yards.
