COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The defense of second-ranked Duke was the difference in a matchup between the two highest-scoring teams in NCAA women's basketball. Lindsey Harding and Chante Black each scored 19 points, and the unbeaten Blue Devils forced 24 turnovers. Duke (14-0, 3-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) built a 17-point halftime lead and cruised to its 13th straight win over the Terrapins. Monique Currie scored 18 for the Blue Devils, off to the second-best start in school history. Maryland (14-2, 1-1) never got closer than nine points in the second half. Kristi Toliver and Shay Doron had 12 points apiece for the Terrapins.
UCLA 77, No. 9 Arizona St. 69
LOS ANGELES -- Noelle Quinn tied her season high with 24 points and Lisa Willis added 23 to lead UCLA. Nikki Blue added 13 points for the Bruins (9-6, 4-2 Pac-10), who moved within a half-game of the conference's co-leaders, Washington and No. 16 Stanford. Kristen Kovesdy had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Sun Devils (12-3, 3-2).
No. 14 Purdue 51, Michigan 43
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Aya Traore scored 13 points and Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton had six points in the final minutes to lead Purdue. The Boilermakers (12-2, 4-0 Big Ten) won their eighth straight after leading by as many as 14 points in the second half. The Wolverines (6-10, 0-4), led by Katie Dierdorf's 10 points, cut the deficit to 43-41 with 3:15 left. But Wisdom-Hylton's spree helped seal the win.
No. 17 Georgia 89, Florida 70
ATHENS, Ga. -- Sherill Baker scored 20 points and added four steals to extend her career steals record to 352 for Georgia. Tasha Humphrey had 26 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Lady Bulldogs (11-3 overall, 2-0 Southeastern Conference). Florida (13-2, 1-1) had its 11-game winning streak end, despite 23 points from Dalila Eshe and 14 points from Sha Brooks.
No. 25 Virginia Tech 67,No. 19 Boston College 62
BLACKSBURG, Va. -- Megan Finnerty and Kirby Copeland combined for 26 points to lift Virginia Tech. They each scored 13 points for the Hokies (14-1, 1-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), who trailed the Eagles 36-30 at halftime. Brooke Queenan and Kindyll Dorsey had 13 apiece for Boston College. The Eagles trailed 63-62 after a basket by Kathrin Ress with 46 seconds left.
Arkansas 52, No. 20 Vanderbilt 51, OT
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Reserve Leslie Howard led Arkansas with 13 points, including the winning free throw with 2.1 seconds left in overtime. A desperation 3-pointer by the Razorbacks' Brittney Vaughn forced the overtime. Vaughn, who scored all five of her points in the final 14.5 seconds, hit a running shot from inside the half-court line to tie the game at 46. Arkansas trailed 51-48 late in the overtime before Rochelle Vaughn hit a 3-pointer to knot it at 51 with 15 seconds left.
No. 24 Temple 66, La Salle 64, OT
PHILADELPHIA -- Candice Dupree scored 29 points, including the game-winning three-point play with 2.8 seconds remaining in overtime. Kamesha Hairston had 13 points and Khadija Bowens added 10 for the Owls (10-3, 2-0) in their 24th consecutive Atlantic 10 Conference win.
