BOARDMAN -- Pastor Hope Delassandro will be the guest speaker at the Greater Youngstown Chapter of Flame Fellowship International meeting Jan. 16 at Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Township Park. Fellowship begins at 11:30 a.m. and ministry at noon. She and her husband are from Abundant Life World Outreach Center, Sharpsville, Pa. She has been on several mission trips.
Faith clinic ministry day
YOUNGSTOWN -- New Galilee Church of God in Christ, 903 Franklin Ave., will hold a faith clinic ministry day at 7 p.m. Friday with Evangelist Keith A. Spann, author of the faith clinic manual, "Faith Is Not Just Beating the Air." Also on the program will be musician Mark Jackson. Spann will sign books after the program.
Movie on faith
NORTH LIMA -- North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will show "Beyond the Gates of Splendor" at 6 p.m. Jan. 15. The film, set in the Amazon basin of Equador, tells the story of five American men killed by the Waodani tribe. Faith comes into play as some family members of the slain men go to live with the tribe.
Baptist college
YOUNGSTOWN -- The local unit of the American Baptist College will begin its spring semester Tuesday. Registration is scheduled at 6 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, 528 Lincoln Ave. A variety of subjects will be available; sessions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Guest minister
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- Paul Costa of Richland Hills, Texas, who played professional football with the Buffalo Bills, will be the guest minister at Living Word Christian Center. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday and at 6:30 p.m. Monday. He has a master's degree and doctorate from California Graduate School of Theology. Costa, who has been in the ministry since 1979, co-authored "End Time Warriors" and "Apostolic Ministry."
