Globetrotters to play at arena

YOUNGSTOWN -- The world-famous Harlem Globetrotters are coming to Chevrolet Centre on Feb. 2. They'll play the New York Nationals in a 7 p.m. tipoff.
Tickets start at $16.50 and are available by phone at (866) 4-GET-TIX, online at Gettix.net, and at the arena box office.
"As we celebrate our 80th consecutive season of touring North America in 2006, the Globetrotters have put together something very special for the fans who have supported the team now for nine decades," said Globetrotters' owner and chairman, Mannie Jackson.
In their Youngstown appearance, the Globetrotters will continue their tradition of:
UIntroducing amazing ball-handling and comedy routines, while keeping the timeless classics from throughout their history.
UFeaturing a "meet and greet" session at the end of every game, allowing fans a chance to get autographs and interact with their favorite Globetrotter.
UBecoming involved in every community they play by visiting local schools, hospitals and other youth-based organizations. The Globetrotters donate money and merchandise to hundreds of local and national charities every year.
UEntertaining crowds with the antics of their exciting mascot, "Globie."
