Series: This is the 16th meeting between the teams and UW-Green Bay holds a 12-3 advantage. The Phoenix won both meetings a year ago, winning 78-55 in Green Bay and 78-49 at YSU. The Penguins' last win in this series came in the Horizon League Tournament in 2002-03 when they beat the Phoenix 65-61 in Green Bay. The Phoenix holds a 7-3 edge over the Penguins since YSU joined the Horizon League.

UW-Green Bay starters: Ryan Evanochko, 6-2 junior guard (15.1 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists per game); Mike Schachtner, 6-9 freshman forward (9.9, 3.9, 0.5); Ryan Tillema, 6-8 freshman forward (8.9, 4.4, 1); Josh Lawrence, 6-7 junior forward (8.6, 4.5, 0.9); Terry Evans, 6-5 freshman guard (8.2, 5.6, 2).
Game notes: The Penguins won for the first time on the road this season on Monday, beating Loyola 84-76 for their first Horizon League win. It also snapped a 25-game road losing streak and a 12-game Horizon League road losing streak. Junior Quin Humphrey had his second straight 30-point game when he scored 32 points against the Ramblers, while senior Domonique Crawford continued his outstanding play off the bench with a 19-point effort. Humphrey is currently listed 22nd in the nation in scoring according to the latest NCAA statistics. UW-Green Bay had its two-game winning streak snapped on Monday, losing a Horizon game at Detroit in overtime 60-57. The Phoenix had won four of its previous six games. The Phoenix also lost a league contest to UW-Milwaukee 80-60 in Milwaukee.
Next up: The Penguins will be on the road on Saturday when they travel to meet Detroit in a 4:05 p.m. tip-off in league play. They then return for four straight home games beginning on Jan. 12 when they host Wright State in a 7:35 p.m. start.
