Clerk DeJacimo pleads innocent in tampering case, theft charges

WARREN -- A deputy clerk of the municipal court has pleaded innocent to two felony charges of theft in office and one of tampering with records in a case involving more than $25,000 in missing money from the clerk's office.
Judith M. DeJacimo of Glenn Drive Northeast, who has been with the court since 1993, was released after posting a $7,500 personal recognizance bond. She appeared Tuesday in the courtroom of Judge John Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
In November, municipal Judges Terry F. Ivanchak and Thomas P. Gysegem placed DeJacimo on indefinite, unpaid administrative leave.
Judge Peter Kontos of common pleas court last week issued a temporary restraining order to prevent DeJacimo from spending any money that may have been embezzled from Warren Municipal Court.
Judge Kontos set a hearing on the city court's request for a permanent injunction for 9 a.m. Friday. A civil suit filed by Warren Municipal Court also seeks to recover the cost of audits, damages and costs associated with the missing money as well as unspecified punitive damages.
