Men's Garden Club honors member and installs officers

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Men's Garden Club of Youngstown singled out one member for recognition during an annual Christmas party held Dec. 7 at A La Cart Catering in Canfield.
John Kolar was chosen to receive the Bronze Award, which is a once-in- a-lifetime honor presented to a member for exemplary work on behalf of the organization.
Also highlighting the event was the installation of the following officers: Hugh Earnhart, president; John Shinker, first vice president; Jim Stein, second vice president; Kolar, secretary; and Bob McGowan, treasurer. Joe Alessi is past president.
The installation ceremony was conducted by Bill Carney of Poland, national president.
