Charity foot race set for Jan. 12



SHARON, Pa. - Quaker Steak & amp; Lube will host the 18th Annual Charity Frostbite Foodtaste Foot Race beginning at 7 p.m. Jan. 12.
During the event, participants are given the opportunity to taste several establishments' specialty food and beverage items.
The race, which requires contestants to travel on foot between each location, will include stops at ACT, 804, Billy's Black & amp; Gold, Our Gang's Lounge, Side Pocket Cafe, Sharon Hotel, The Wave, Chestnut Street Cafe, Quaker Steak & amp; Lube and Tully's. Penn Pilsner and Basilone's will host an outdoor "Tailgate Stop" complete with bonfire, in the back parking lot of Quaker Steak & amp; Lube.
Scott Kennedy from radio station Y103 will broadcast from Quaker Steak & amp; Lube during the festivities. Frostbite Foot Racers must register at The Lube beginning now or at the preregistration party from 4 to 6 p.m. the day of the event.
The Frostbite Foodtaste Foot Race will benefit Help Heat Homes program through the Prince of Peace organization in Farrell.
