ASSOCIATIONS
XHubbard Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Olive Garden in Boardman for its Christmas party. For reservations call (330) 534-4521 or (330) 534-9464 by Friday.
XWarren Charter Chapter of the American Business Women's Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Golden Gate Restaurant, 2186 Parkman Road, Warren. A buffet dinner is planned, and the cost is $13. XYoungstown Branch of the American Association of University Women will hold a holiday guest brunch Dec. 7 at the Youngstown Club. The social hour at 11:30 a.m. will be followed by an all-you-can-eat brunch at noon. Speaking on "Title Nine Then and Now" will be Elaine Jacobs, assistant director of athletics, and Roseann Schwartz, head women's golf coach, both at Youngstown State University. AUXILIARIES
XFlora MacDonald Auxiliary will meet at 12:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the home of Marion Brownlee. Lunch will be followed by a business meeting, Christmas program and gift exchange.
XTriangle VFW Post 2799 and Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will hold a Christmas party and meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 10 at the post. Participants should take casseroles. There will be an edible gift exchange. A post meeting will be held at 8 p.m. Dec. 17.
CLUBS
XPoland Center Homemakers will hold a Christmas party at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Ground Round. There will be a $5 gift exchange. The next meeting will be in February.
XYoungstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will hold a Christmas party at 1 p.m. Dec. 8. Members are asked to take a casserole or dessert for a buffet. Reservations will be accepted until Friday at (330) 799-7008. The fee is $3 fee for members and $5 for guests.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XCatholic Women's Club of St. Rose Church, Girard, will hold a Christmas party at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 9 at the Victorian Room. The committee is composed of Mary Jo Stark, Lucy Corrale, Jane Lalama and Martha Masternick.
SINGLES
XCatholic Alumni Club of Youngstown will hold a Christmas party Dec. 14 at Sacred Heart Retreat House, Logan Way, Liberty Township. Mass will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a catered dinner. SOCIETIES
XGirard Historical Society will meet Dec. 7 at the Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.
XHammond Organ Society will meet for a Christmas dinner and program at 5 p.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church. Members are to take favorite casseroles and desserts. The main course will be furnished by the club. There will be a charge for extra guests. Gifts will be exchanged. Special guests will be the Miller Triplets, Michael, Jacob and Scott, who will play Christmas tunes. Members also will entertain.
SUPPORT GROUPS
XMended Hearts, Chapter 7, will hold a Holiday Happening at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at the Lockwood House in Boardman. Entertainment will be by the Youngstown Connection. The buffet dinner will feature stuffed chicken, baked white fish, pasta with meatballs, green beans almondine, buttered potatoes, tossed salad, rolls, beverages and dessert. The cost is $15. XParkinson's Support Group of Trumbull County will have its holiday party at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 11 in the social room of Christ Episcopal Church, 2627 Atlantic St. N.E., Warren. Those attending are asked to take a dessert or salad. There will be a $5 gift exchange. Call (330) 856-4286.
