This will be the Hoosiers' third title-game appearance on Maui and the first two ended in losses to Syracuse in 1990 and 1998.
Virginia (3-0) beat No. 15 Kentucky 75-61 Tuesday.
The Hoosiers (2-0) will have to play better than they did over the final 3 minutes against Gonzaga when the Bulldogs wiped out all but one point of a 70-53 deficit.
