Jury deliberations
YOUNGSTOWN -- Jurors were to resume deliberating today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court in the trial of two men accused in the robbery and slashing of a Youngstown woman last summer.
Jacob DiCarlo, 22, of Ayrshire Drive, and Michael Kapsouris, 25, of South Raccoon Road, are each charged with felonious assault and aggravated robbery.
Authorities say the men stole some $6,000 from a woman who was making a deposit for her employer at Key Bank on South Raccoon Road in July 2001. When she would not let go of the money, one of the men slashed her across her stomach.
Jurors deliberated about an hour Thursday before being sent home for the evening by Judge Robert Lisotto.
